Finnair announces new routes and frequencies

Finnair will open a new winter route from Helsinki to Lyon, France, for the 2018/2019 winter season. The new route will be operated from 11 December 2018 onward with two weekly flights. Known for its gastronomy, historical landmarks and its proximity to the French Alps, Lyon is the second largest metropolitan area in France.

In addition, we’ll offer daily flights to Osaka and Delhi. Two additional frequencies will also be added to the Hong Kong route, for a total of 12 weekly flights. A fourth weekly flight will be added to the Phuket route starting from 10 December 2018.

Additional short-haul frequencies will also be added to selected destinations in Europe during the winter season. One weekly flight will be added to Málaga, Funchalin Madeira and Tenerife, two weekly flights to both Rome and Gran Canaria and a daily flight on weekdays to Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland. Furthermore, we will continue our non-stop flights to Lapland from London Gatwick, Paris and Zurich.

We will also extend the operating period to Malta and Antalya to last until 9 December 2018. Furthermore, Edinburgh and Alanya-Gazipasa will be made year-round destinations.
